It has been reported that two men were arrested by the Police in Orerokpe for allegedly raping a sixteen year old girl (name withheld) in Okene Primary School in Okuokoko Community in Okpe Local Government Area of Delta State, while five other suspects are still on the run.
According to report the 7 suspects photographed and filmed the girl while sexually abusing her at about 4pm on the 8th of August.
The victim recounting ordeal with speaking with newsmen in the presence of her father, disclosed that she was dragged into a school by the 7 suspects while on her way to a see a friend. Further revealing that the seven men forcefully pulled and tore her clothes to shreds before they raped her. The girl, who claimed to know all the seven suspects gave their names as, Monday, Alex, Mavuaye, Lucky, John Aboy, Destiny and Emma.
Confirming the incident, the Delta State Chairman of the Committee for the Defence of Human Rights, CDHR Comrade Prince Kehinde-Taiga condemned the act, saying the CDHR will ensure the prosecution of the culprits with the aim of getting justice for the victim.
